Mary Beedham invites you to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life at "TRAMPS" bed and breakfast, Loch Ness.

"Tramps" has been custom built to meet the needs of the tired and weary traveller. No stairs to climb with aching legs and lots of luggage.

It's as simple as bringing your car right to the door, check-in, relax with a welcoming cup of tea or coffee and experience the home from home lifestyle we enjoy at "Tramps".

A warm welcome and a hot drink in the sitting room. Just step outside and the scenery is breathtaking. "Tramps" has views over Loch Ness and the surrounding hills. We are located in a tranquil part of the village on land formerly belonging to old Balmacaan Farm.

When you plan your visit to Scotland, or find there's a few days to spare when you arrive, why not make Drumnadrochit, Loch Ness, the centre of your universe. You can travel anywhere in the Highlands within the day, and return to a warm friendly welcome from Mary.

Many leave the car behind and explore the Loch Ness area on foot. Anywhere you might wish to visit in the village is within easy walking distance. A leisurely stroll Loch Ness is a mere 15 to 20 minutes.
The local area is a paradise for walkers, with Divach Falls and Craigmonie Woodland virtually on our doorstep.

Urquhart Castle is just a 5 minute drive and in the village you will find boat trips, horse riding, the Loch Ness Visitor Centre and the Loch Ness 2000 Exhibition Centre, craft shops and several eating stablishments to choose from, with friendly service wherever you go.

Sit back and be pampered! Relax and enjoy one of the delicious breakfasts that "Tramps" has become famous for. Mary will do her utmost to cater for your choice whether a hearty choice, something lighter, the continental selection or the vegetarian option.

Now all you have to do is plan your itinerary and to help you with that Mary gives each guest a FREE, Loch Ness -"More than a Monster" map of the immediate area. On the reverse, an away-day map offers excellent suggestions on where to travel within a one, two, or three hour slot allowing ample time to see the sights and still return for another relaxing night at "Tramps".

To Begin ....
Chilled, fresh fruit juice.

Hot and Tasty
Lightly or well grilled bacon,to your taste.
Eggs -fried,scrambled, or to your taste
Scottish Sausage (Lorne), or bangers. Or maybe you'd like to sample some haggis or black pudding?

If you'd rather something lighter ....
Perhaps you'll choose succulent smoked Scottish salmon served on a bed of lightly scrambled eggs.

The Continental Option ....
You might prefer fresh Scottish bread rolls, hand made oatcakes oroissants with a selection of cheeses and delicious cold meat.

The Vegetarian Selection...
Vegetarian Sausage and eggs cooked to your taste with potato waffle or potato scone, tomatoes or mushrooms or baked beans.

Finishing Off ....
Delicious warm toast (white or brown bread)
Selection of jams, marmalade and honey.

Find Tramps

Tramps B&B is well known in the village and easy to find.

From Inverness
Go through the village, past the Post Office and past the sports field to the food store on the corner of Balmacaan Road. Turn right and travel approx 800metres to the top of the road. Follow the bend to the left and "Tramps" is a large, new bungalow on the right..

From Fort Augustus
You come down the hill from Urquart Castle, over the bridge and turn first left and come past the cottages of West Lewiston, follow the bend to the right and we are on the left.
