Bed & Breakfast Guide"
Loch Ness B&B "Glenkirk" offers comfortable
homely bed and breakfast holiday accommodation of the highest
quality in delightful traditional Scottish surroundings.
A warm welcome awaits all our Guests from around the world.
Glenkirk,
once the village church, became redundant about 20 years
ago and is now the home of Ross & Fiona Urquhart, who have
transformed it into one of the most unique Bed and Breakfasts
in the Highlands of Scotland
Set amongst some of the finest scenery in Scotland and
close to the Great Glen Way, it is ideally situated for
the avid Nessie hunter, hill walker, ambler, or those just
wishing to "chill out" and get
away from it all. Come relax and unwind in the warm
friendly atmosphere that abides within Glenkirk, and experience
some true Highland hospitality.
Spring comes late to the Highlands (March - May) but a wealth of wild flowers and, in May, bright sunny days are well worth the odd shower.
The Scottish Highlands are particularly beautiful in the autumn (October) with glorious golden days, often warm and mild. It is a little quieter and should the weather turn colder you can be sure to come back to a warm welcome at Glenkirk.
We are about an hour from both the Aonach Mhor skiing
at Ft. William and the Cairngorm skiing,Aviemore.

The
Balnain Bike Park is 5 miles up the Glen
from our front door.
Muscle-stretching,
lung-bursting fun. It’s the cycling equivalent of
a skateboard park, just as testing of your skills and every
bit as energetic.

from Inverness... you will pass Loch Ness 2000,
the bank, and 2 gift shops on the right. Then the
road bends to the left over the Drumnadrochit Bridge
but you go right (it looks like straight ahead)
before the bend and pass the Visitor Centre on your
right. You will find us about 500 meters up on the
right hand side.
Approaching
from Fort William pass Urquhart Castle, down
the hill, over a small bridge and past the petrol
station on the left. On through the village, past
the Post Office on the left, onto the Drumnadrochit
bridge. Turn left immediately after the bridge
(A831 Beauly/ Cannich/ Glen Affric Road) and we're
500 meters up on the right hand side.
